Today I’ve decided to Blog about a very unusual creature called the Flostrich.  The Flostrich, if you haven’t already guessed is a mixture of a Flamingo and an Ostrich, said to have died off around the 11th century.  How these two flightless birds met and bred has scientists all around the world puzzled.  But regardless of how it happened it has obviously happened.  Even though no one has actually seen this magnificent bird, and there is no fossil evidence, and in fact no one has even claimed to see it, I know it must exist.

A bit of history is needed however.  According to a local legend by the Flosterians the Flamingo came into their land and took over their water supply, leaving them to suffer from dehydration, then all of a sudden the wondrous Ostrich came and chased them off, the villagers honored then Ostrich and as a reward for their behavior they presented them with twelve Flamingo eggs.  Now the Ostriches had no idea what to do, so sense they were men, they decided to fertilize them.  Thus began the Flostirch.

Even though no one saw what came out of the egg we were told that every now and then you can hear it calling out their cry.  A magnificent cry that can be heard all over the Amazon Rainforest.  But beware, if you should happen to go out in search of this magnificent creature you shall surely die, for even though it comes from the two less aggressive birds the Flostrich is anything like its ancestors, they will attack to kill, and it i not pleasant being eaten alive by a halfbreed.

The Flostrich very soon left the Amazon as it had no food, (so if you were planning a trip to Brazil better cancel it now),  the magnificent creature fled to Mount Everest, where it stayed at the top of the mountain, until the Yeti chased them away in the early 18th century.  No one knows where this creature has fled to now, they’ve kept it very secret and do not want to be found out, they are very sneaky creatures.

So as I’ve said do not go looking for this creature because you will die, however if you do choose to look for the Flostich I should let you know, this magnificent creature does not exist, yes like the North American House Hippo unfortunately he was made up by people who want to mess with you mind, though just because someone says he’s not real doesn’t mean you can’t prove them wrong…
