Odd Dream

Monday, August 31st, 2009

So this morning like right before i woke up, I had probably one of the weirdest dreams that I have ever had. I feel that the only thing to do about this was to TELL THE WORLD! Anyway, this is how it went;

I was sitting on the edge of a wharf with my laptop, just talking to some people on IRC when my phone starts ringing. I hold it up to look at the caller ID and it says Paramore. I was like WTF! and answered it. On the other end was a chick (Hayley Williams lead singer of Paramore), she asked me if I knew who she was. And I said of course, you are the lead singer of Paramore, an amazing band. She was all excited and was like “YEAAAAAAAA!!!”. At this point IRC disconnects and my internet on my laptop goes down, at the same time I ask Hayley why she is calling me of all people. But there is no one on the phone anymore. Somehow I make the connection that because the internet went down on my laptop, my cellphone also somehow went down. After a few minutes, I hear Hayley say something on the phone again but I don’t remember exactly what because that was the moment when I woke up.

So that’s my odd dream and to finish off this post I leave you with a video of Paramore preforming Decoy (One of my favorite songs by them) Live. Enjoy ;)

NASCAR Chase For The Sprint Cup.

Monday, August 24th, 2009

Now I don’t now how many of you follow NASCAR, but I do. If you are familiar with the sport, you know that there is a thing called the “The Chase”. Basically it’s NASCAR’s version of a playoff. After the first 26 races of the season, the top 12 drivers in the points standings are cutoff, and then there are 10 races remaining to try and win the championship.

This season is no different from past seasons as the drivers near the cutoff line are so close in points, that it will create a lot of drama heading into the final 2 races before the chase cutoff (Atanta and Richmond being the next two tracks.)

So drivers that are in the chase now are.

-Tony Stewart #14  -Jimmie Johnson #48  -Jeff Gordon $24 -Denny Hamlin #11 -Carl Edwards #99  -Kurt Busch #2  -Ryan Newman #39 -Greg Biffle #16  -Juan Montoya #42 -Mark Martin #5 -Kasey Kahne #9 and -Matt Kenseth #17

and trying to get in are

-Kyle Busch #18 -Brian Vickers #83 -Clint Bowyer #33 -David Reutimann #00

So who do you think will make the chase?

After Bristol(the last race) the winner was Kyle Busch. This was a huge boost for his hopes on getting back in the top 12. He has won 4 races this year, but fell on some bad luck over the summer to drop him out of the top 12.

Brian Vickers has also been racing very well lately. He won Michigan prior to Bristol (his first win since his win in 2006). Brian also had a solid finish last race.

Clint Bowyer and David Reutimann have not been able to make up much ground on 12th lately. David was caught up in a wreck at Michigan, and Clint was involved in two wrecks at Bristol

My opinion on who will be the twelve drivers racing for the title? I think it will be close, but I believe Kyle Busch will get back in. Atlanta and Richmond have traditionally been good tracks for Kyle. I think that if he gets in it will come at the cost of Matt Kenseth falling out.

But I won’t count out Vickers. He will make it interesting, despite Richmond not being one of his better tracks.

So who do you think will be the twelve drivers to go racing for the Sprint Cup this year?

PS3 Price Cut??

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

So it’s August and before we know it the Christmas shopping rush will be here. Sony’s Playstation 3 will be entering it’s 4th Christmas in the video gaming market. And the rumor’s have been swirling around lately that there will be  a big announcement for the PS3.

Basically Sony announced that the PS3’s production cost’s have dropped to around $250. That is definitely a lot less than what it was before, making like no profit on the $399 80GB version.  It is looking like a price cut is in store.

In Japan there was a leaked note saying that the 80GB PS3 will not be available in Japan after August 9th. And the 160GB version is not sold in Japan so that would leave retailers without PS3’s to sell.

Also there have been rumors of a slim PS3 too. There have been some leaked photo’s that show a slimmer PS3  and a different PS3 logo.

And another rumor has been Gran Turismo 5 will have it’s release announced soon, probably at the August 18th Gamescon convention in Germany.

So all sign’s lately have Sony making some kind of huge announcement then.

My thought’s are that Sony, if they cut the price and put out a slimmer PS3 will have a good season sale’s wise. Releasing GT5 this year will only help. I’m thinking of a PS3 price cut to what I think maybe $299-$325 bundled with GT5 would be a huge seller. And in Japan do the same price cut and bundle the PS3 with Final Fantasy 13 which hits Japan this year. The Japanese love Final Fantasy and the PS3 saw huge sales with the release of just the demo earlier this year. We’ll see what Sony does to increase sales, because they definitely need to do something in my opinion.
