First off I would just like to say HI to everyone out there. It seems like it has been forever since I have done a blog post. I have just been so busy lately, with the end of the school year and I now that have two jobs, I’m working almost everyday after school. It’s been really hard to find time to blog and even get on my computer period. But now that school has finally finished, I have a lot more time to do things that I have been putting off for a while. One of those things was redesigning my Website and Blog.

I thought long and hard about this redesign, I was happy with the last design that I had come up with but I wanted this one to be special. I spent a few days just browsing the web, looking at wordpress designs and layouts as well as free website templates. I finally found something that I really liked and decided that it was time to finally start desiging. The only reason I looked for layouts and templates is to base my theme off of them. Mostly just how things are layed out and the main structure of the site, I create everything myself so its not like i’m stealing anything, i’m sort of half ass basing my theme off of a bunch of other themes. Anyway I started off by looking for colors, (it was time to get rid of the green vista-y look) now a friend of mine (I can’t remember exactly who, if you are reading this make sure you kick me in the ass and I will give you credit) gave me a link to a website that is done by adobe called kuler. This site is loaded with color schemes all created by users just like me and you. I highly recommend the site for any type of design that you may be doing, there are awesome color schemes available . So I found a color scheme that I liked and went to work creating the images with photoshop and coding the backend of the site with notepad2 (my preferred html and css editor). It took me around 3 to 4 hours to design the main part of my site and another 2 or 3 to apply my theme to wordpress. This time was of course spread over a couple of days. (I do have a life, believe it or not)

And as you can see the theme turned out great. I am extremely happy with how it looks, I love how well the colors went together and the overall layout and feel of the site. After all I’m not the one using the site, so it’s really not what I think about the design that matters. Its the users (thats you ).
